Non-Metal Fillings

For years the silver mercury amalgam was the standard filling material used in dental practices. Most practices still use it. Although they are functional, amalgams don’t look as good as white fillings. Also, some patients have concerns about having metal in their mouth.

Dr. Blumberg offers white fillings that contain no metals. They actually strengthen your teeth and look natural. These state-of-the-art restorations can dramatically decrease tooth cracking and the need for root canal treatment.

Laser Diagnosis

Dr. Blumberg has recently added yet another new high tech device to his practice. It’s called Diagnodent. Tooth Prints

As a parent, one of your greatest fears is that your child might get lost, or worse, be abducted. If such a situation were to occur, your prompt response with photographs and other concrete means for tracking your child and making identification is paramount.

Toothprints is a dental ID that takes only four minutes. It is comfortable for your child and gives you peace of mind.

Toothprints is a patented, arch shaped thermoplastic wafer. When your child bites into the softened wafer, it records all their teeth characteristics simplifying identification. A sample of your child’s saliva is taken at the same time and can be used for DNA testing. The Toothprint wafer also takes your child’s scent so in case of an emergency, tracking dogs can be brought in. The Toothprint wafer will be placed in a special zippered plastic bag and given to you for safekeeping.

The whole procedure is comfortable for your child and gives you peace of mind. I hope that you will never have to use it.

Cold Sore Treatment

What everyone needs to know about cold sores and our single application treatment.

  • Cold sores/ fever blisters are typically caused by Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV-1).
  • Cold sores/ fever blisters are leisons usually found on the outside of the mouth – on the lips.
  • Cold sores are highly contagious and can be easily spread through kissing, touching, or secondary contact with objects that have come in contact with a cold sore leison.

After touching a cold sore, it is important to wash your hands immediately. Do not touch your eyes, genitals or other parts of the body. Self- inoculation of other areas of the body and even blindness can result.

Our treatment of cold sores is a single topical application if the medicine Viroxyn.

  • RAPID RELIEF: Viroxyn provides rapid relief from pain, itching and burning and a fast onset of healing.
  • SHORTENS OUTBREAKS: Viroxyn has been shown to greatly shorten the duration of episodes.
  • KILLS GERMS: When properly applied most people need only a single treatment per episode.
  • SAFE AND EFFECTIVE: Viroxyn’s main active ingredient, Benzalkonium Chloride, has been proven safe and effective for use as a topical antiseptic.
  • EASY TO USE: Viroxyn uses a patented applicator for easy application and allows users to treat cold sores without their fingers touching the leison. This reduces potential for self- inoculation.
Remember – your smile says “hello“ before you do!
